The Turning Wheel - Unique hand crafted pottery by renowned Canadian artist Jenny Bullen

About the Artist:
Jenny took her first pottery lessons when her youngest son entered nursery school in Montreal.  She fell in love with the whole activity immediately and it didn’t take long after the introduction to clay and glazes that she became the proud owner of a kiln and her own pottery wheel.

In the ensuing years she attended numerous workshops and classes.
She studied under Pierre Legault and Synthia Root in Montreal from 1972 - 1975.
In Toronto she attended numerous workshops and courses at Sheridan College in Mississauga, Ontario. It was there that she owned and operated her own gift store and studio and taught classes for both adults and children.

She has had many one man shows in Montreal Quebec, Burlington Ontario and Mississauga Ontario. After moving to Surrey, British Columbia in 1986 she attended two semesters at Kwantlen College's Ceramic Department.

Workshops and courses included:
John Reeve, Robin Hopper, Gordon Hutchins, Randy Brodnax, Cathy Jefferson, Les Manning at Lester B. Pearson Summer School of the Arts and lastly Steven Hill at MISSA in 2003. Too many more to mention, via the Fraser Valley Potters Guild of which she is a member.

Her work is represented in many places including Europe, the United States and Canada. All pieces are handcrafted in stoneware and Raku at her studio in Surrey, British Columbia.

Working with clay is a continuous learning process. " I cannot imagine my life without it. I love to create and while executing my new ideas in clay, I am totally relaxed and involved."
